Metropolis is a 1927 German expressionist epic science-fiction film directed by Fritz Lang. The film was written by Lang and his wife Thea von Harbou, and starred Brigitte Helm, Gustav Fröhlich, Alfred Abel and Rudolf Klein-Rogge. This silent-science-fiction film, the first of it’s kind, is seen as a cinematic masterpiece throughout the world. The original filmed was played in a large theater with a live orchestra. This is the remastered version with a score by The New Pollutants.
